Ice Information

We are excited to announce that ice is back at the Three Rivers Athletic Complex!! (formerly Lysander Ice Arena) Priority for ice will be given to home members of the Syracuse Figure Skating Club.  Due to Covid-19, we have changed our procedures and guidelines.  Please pay close attention to the details listed below:

  • Club ice will be offered throughout August on Tuesdays from 5-7pm, Thursdays from 5-7pm and Sundays from 3-5pm. We may be able to get more ice in the near future if the need exists.

  • We have three steps you must follow before skaters will be allowed on the ice.

  • Step 1: A one-time waiver needs to be signed online first before skating on the rink at the Three Rivers Athletic Complex.  Click below to sign the waiver.  Skaters will not be allowed on the ice until this is complete.  There is also a waiver below to be signed by all coaches and volunteers.

  • Step 2: All ice needs to be prepaid.  We are using a cashless system.  There will be no exceptions.  You can purchase ice for 1 hour blocks.  If your skater plans on skating for more than 1 hour on a certain day, you need to add both hours to your cart.  All 1 hour blocks are $20. You can purchase ice for the first two weeks of August now.  We will email you when the remainder of the month opens up.  Please make sure to select ice for the correct date and time before making a purchase. Double check your cart before paying.  No refund policy:  All ice sales are final.  We will not be issuing a refund if your skater is unable to come.

  • To begin with, all home club members will be allowed to sign-up for three 1 hour blocks per week.  Additional slots may be purchased if there is room for club and guest skaters.  You will be notified via Remind if we have more availability. If you would like to receive notifications when ice is available for guests, please join REMIND through the link provided or text @ge28de to 81010Guest skaters/coaches need to fill out a guest form for the 2020-2021 year before skating on the ice.  You can find the link  here.

  • Currently, we have to limit the number of skaters on the ice during each block per NYS guidelines.  When purchasing ice, if we don't have any more availability for a particular time block, you will be told the ice is out of stock.   Only purchasing ice will guarantee a spot for your skater on the ice, not the ice schedule.  Please purchase ice below before placing your skater's name on the schedule.

  • Step 3Place your skaters name on the ice schedule.  This schedule will be given to the rink employees when they check in your skater before entering.

  • COACHES:  Please complete step 1 & 3 only.

Additional Details

  • First and foremost, please do not bring your skater to the rink if he/she is not feeling well.  Parents are asked to take temperatures prior to arriving at the rink.

  • Doors open 10 minutes before scheduled ice blocks. Please do not arrive any earlier.  You will not be allowed in.  The main door is where all skaters enter.  All skaters will be exiting through a door on the left side of the building. Skaters will be required to exit the building right after getting off the ice.  Please adhere to all enter and exit signs.

  • Skaters are asked to come dressed for the ice.  There will be no changing rooms provided.  Skaters should enter the rink with skates already on and tied.  Mats will be down on the pavement leading to the doorway for skaters. Hard skate guards are recommended.

  • No parents will be allowed in the rink during this time.  Parents MUST remain in the parking lot until your child is done skating.  If there is an emergency, someone will bring your child out to you or come to get you.

  • Masks must be worn by all skaters inside the rink when not on the ice.  The only time that a mask may come off is when the skater is on the ice, however he/she may choose to keep it on the entire time.  Coaches will be expected to wear a mask at all times. Social distancing guidelines need to be followed in the rink.  An adult volunteer will be in the rink to organize skaters on and off the ice and maintain appropriate distancing.

  • Skate guards are to be left off ice in a designated cubby.

  • Skaters may bring a clearly labeled water bottle to leave on the side of rink when skating.  No food  consumption will be allowed inside the rink unless for medical reasons.

  • If you have any more additional questions, please email the club at
